Hola Every one ,Is Juan de Padilla (married to Petrona de Siordia ) son of one of the Padilla Davilas? I believe some one had mentioned it or I read it some where ,can't remember.

Hey Ronnie,

Not according to Jaime Holcome. He said in one of his letters:

"I had thought that the Padillas in Teocaltiche came from the Padilla
Dávilas aka Dávila Padillas aka de la Mota Padillas. Not so, although the
"founding father" also came from Jerez de la Frontera, their distant
relative. The Alderetes descend from him on a female line".

I don't know much about these families.
