I would like opinions about who is the mother of Maria Luna, wife of Eusebio Martin Lara. On the marriage certificate for Eusebio and Maria, her parents' names are given as Don Jose de Luna and Juana de la Cruz, of Jesus Maria.

When I encountered this marriage certificate before, I assumed that the name of the mother was incorrect and that the parents were really Jose Luna and Maria de la Cruz. These parents had 11 children that I am aware of, beginning with Silberio (prob. about 1713) and ending with Maria de las Niebes (August 1731). I just assumed that Maria was the Maria born to them in April 1716 and baptized on 22 April.

But now that I run into her again (different line), I am not so sure. There was also a couple Jose de la Cruz and Juana de la Cruz. I am finding these 2 from death certificates. His death was in March of 1739 , and hers in October 1738

I cannot find a marriage for either couple. And I cannot locate any children from the second couple.

So I am really just looking for opinions. Is the mother's name incorrect on the marriage certificate? Or does Jose de Luna become Jose de la Cruz?
