I am trying to figure out what a Hipasote is? I am seeing this as a place of birth for some of my ancestors in Jalisco and I can't find much information. If anyone has any info on these please let me know. Thank you!

There's a hacienda by that name in Colotlan

Saludos,

Manny Diez Hermosillo

The current standard spelling is epazote. You can see the location of El Epazote that Manny mentioned in the top left of the map at http://iieg.gob.mx/contenido/GeografiaMedioAmbiente/Colotlan_MBase2013.jpg

Also epazote is a plant whose leafs are used as a spice in Mexican food, like tacos, salsa, etc.

How can I find out more information about that hacienda ? The history or any information ? Thank you !

Yes I have see that alternate spelling and was not sure if that was for the same place. Thank you !
