i found this marriage record for an ancestor of mines and i saw that he came from that place, but i'm not sure where it's at.

Hi Katy-

San Cristobal de la Barranca is about 25 miles North of Guadalajara on highway 23.

The groom's parents (Diego Jaimes and Juana Talavera) are also listed in another son's (Pablo Jose) marriage record in San Cristobal:

"México, matrimonios, 1570-1950," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:N67B-4MB : accessed 10 July 2015), Pablo Josef Jaimes and Antonia Josefa De Nava, 06 May 1793; citing San Cristóbal De La Barranca, Jalisco, Mexico, reference ; FHL microfilm 1,108,703.

thanks for the help. pablo jose must have been old when he got married to antonia.
