Hello all, I was wondering if any member here has gone through the Bautismo 1796-1851 or the Matrimonios 1806-1871 records for Villanueva. As both records are mixed with other's, and also include the towns and ranches around Villanueva, it has been hard for me to find the exact records for the town of Villanueva itself. In fact, I haven't found many records that say the town of Villanueva, but instead with the names of surrounding ranches instead.

Have I missed the pages where the Villanueva records are located, or is it that those books did not contain records for the town of Villanueva? Any help would be appreciated.

I looked at the FHL library catalog for Villanueva, Zacatecas.

There are two entries, covering slightly different time frames.

One group of 38 rolls, is for San Judas Tadeo, "Incluyen registros parroquiales de Encarnación, Malpaso, Salto, Soledad, y Tayahua, haciendas de la municipalidad de Villanueva" has the annotation that they are online.

The other group has 77 rolls, seems to indicate that it is for San Judas Tadeo only, and does not have the annotation that it is online.

The first image or two generally has the film number. From this number and the library catalog you can determine which of the two groups of records are online. From what I see without looking at the films, I would conclude that it is from the group of 38 rolls, which is consistent with what you have found.
