I would like to write a letter to the Genealogical Society in Utah re: extracting records from Zacatecas. I think everyone needs to be proactive!

Is there anyway that Guanajuato can be included. Everyone from Nuestros Ranchos is very interested in Zacatecas and Jalisco and so am I but not as much as interested in Guanajuato. I think I am the only person in the whole group that is searching in Guanajuato.

(Ocampo, San Felipe).

Last Names( Cortez, Espinosa, Gonzales, Torres, Alvardo,Ortiz, Tinajero, and Huerta) You know....just a little paragraph added at the bottom would not hurt.

Thanks

Every state is important to our research but don't forget this group specializes in specific Mexican states.  I'd love to see Michoacan but it's not part of this group so I will wait and enjoy what I can share and  have shared with me on Zacatecas and Jalisco.

Don't worry about it! Take heart. I'm also researching in Queretaro, so I'll still be waiting when you're researching Guanajuato and Michoacan. Not to mention, Nayarit! Alice BB

I agree with you, Linda. If too many people start requesting a whole group of states to be put on the Pilot program, then FamilySearch will continue to follow their own agenda unless they get people to do the input for those specific states. I think we should only address the three states that this forum was set up for.

Thanks to you and the others who have shared their transcriptions with us.

Hi Maria, I too am searching Guanajuato: anyone who is searching alteno genealogy will connect to Guanajuato.Guanajuato is as alteno as Los Altos de Jalisco, due to the rapid immigration and intermarriage that took placemostly Western Gto is considered part of the alteno family.

My wifes great great grandfather moved from gto to los altos his name was marcelo gutierrez infante. He left many descendents in san miguel el alto. He married 3 times and had children with all 3 wives.
