Those of you who are researching Villalobos, please let me know if you have
any information on this family:

Jose Segundo Villalobos m. Maria Ynes Medina about 1775 in San Juan de los
Lagos, Jalisco.

Jose Segundo Villalobos and Maria Ynes Medina had the following children:
Agapita Villalobos
Josef Julian Villalobos c. on 30 Jan 1780, San Juan de los lagos
Jose Maria Villalobos

Agapita was my 4 gr-grandmother.

My nino was my Uncle Jose Refugio Puentes who married my nina Francis.
I'm not related to her side of the family but doing some research on her
branch. I ordered the photocopies from SLC and they arrived today. Below
is the information on the records. Can the members of the group that
have roots in the San Juan de Los Lagos area check your databases and
see if any of the below names tie into your genealogy:

Teodoro Marquez was born in Rancho del Ocote (sp), San Juan de Los Lagos
in about in about 1844 his parents were Celso Marquez and Jesus de Anda.
Teodoro Married Antonia Munoz in 1871. She was born Rancho del Ocote,
San Juan de Los Lagos in about 1855 her parents were Filomeno Munoz and
Sebastiana Marquez.

the padrinos for their marriage were Carlos Marquez and Martiana Marquez.

in 1872 they had a child named Saturina whose padrinos were Carlos
Marquez and Martiana Marquez.

in 1874 they had a child named Estanislao who was the grandfather of my
nina and whose padrinos were Martin Torres and Cleta Marquez??? (last
name hard to read)

Estanislao according to "oral history" married a Teodora but his birth
record in the margin says,

"Estanislao caso en esta paroquia en segundas nupias con Maria Marques 4
Sept 1945" (he would have been 71 years old).

ps: according to we find:

15 NOV 1846 San Juan De Los Lagos, Jalisco, Mexico
Father: CELSO MARQUEZ Family
C603399 1846 - 1850 0220659

So unless someone already knows this information I guess this will be
the next round of photocopies I need to order.

I have a connection to Maria de Jesus Villalobos I think from Atotonilco, Jal and married Epefanio Guiterrez. Maria crossed the border at Laredo, Texas, destination San Antonio, Texas on Oct 30, 1919. Her birth date shows abt 1893. Any connection to your Jose Maria Villalobos?
