Hi Maureen

The surname Morquecho turns up in this informacion matrimonial from zacatecas, sagrario 1781, image 405

The groom is Jose Francisco Lira, son of Augustino Lira and Rafaela Morquecho.
The bride is Maria Bruna Brabo, dau of Rafael Brabo and Maria Manuela Rodriguez.
Both are Indian.

I'd never seen the name Morquecho before, so i checked to see if anyone had any relation to it in NR, and your post turned up. You may not be looking for morquechos, but any else who does a search of the morquecho name will see this post.

Other than that, i can see we share the name Araujo, mine from armadillo de los infantes...

Regards,
Denise
