I have a number of copies of Esteban Valdes Salazar's books: Historia de Totatiche Tomo I and Tomo II.

The first volume includes a history of Totatiche including some genealogical information such as a census of the 100 Tlaxcaltec families that arrived in Colotlan in 1591 and some transcriptions of old Colotlan Franciscan Convent marriage and baptism records from the late 1600s and early 1700s related to localities around Totatiche.

The second volume is a collection of land grant document transcriptions. Basically, nearly all of the original land grants made to the Spanish families in the region, including to the Gaete, Pinedo, Lemus, Fernandez de Jaraquemada, Gutierrez del Palacio, Urena, etc.

I can offer each book for $20 plus shipping. If you are interested, please contact me via email arturo.ramos2 [at] gmail [dot] com or through the Nuestros Ranchos contact form.

For anybody who is descendant from the JARA / FERNANDEZ DE JARAQUEMADA lineage in Totatiche, Ed Farias at Borderlands books is again carrying the book on this lineage by Maurilio Valdes y Jara.

He is also carrying the VALDES de Totatiche book which documents the descendancy of Leandro VALDES by the same author.

Both books are available at:

http://www.borderlandsbooks.com

Simply type "Totatiche" into the search field.

Also, if anyone would still like either Tomo I or Tomo II of the Historia de Totatiche books by Esteban Valdes Salazar, I have those available for $20 each plus $5 shipping for either one or two books. Please contact me privately at arturo [dot] ramos2 [at] gmail [dot] com.
